Ready
Ready can function as an adjective, noun or verb.
Ready可以充当形容词、名词或动词。
（一）形容词
Ready is most often used as an adjective to describe someone or something that is fully prepared.
Ready常常被用作形容词来形容某人或某事是完全筹备好的。In my house, dinner is ready by 6:00 o'clock.
在我家，六点钟以前晚饭就筹备好了。
I am ready to sleep.我筹备睡觉了。
（二）动词
Ready can also be used as a verb when we prepare ourselves for something for an activity or purpose.
当大家为某个活动或目的做筹备时，ready也可以用作动词。She readied herself for the party.
她筹备好参加宴会了。We readied the room for the guests.
大家客人筹备好了房间。
（三）名词
In informal English, ready is used as a noun to refer to available cash. When you hear someone saying, I'm short of the ready right now, it means they don't have money available for immediate use.
在非正式英语中，ready用作名词指可用的现金。当听到有人说，I'm short of the ready right now，那意味着他们没可以立刻用的钱。（四）有关习语
1、Ready Money:你手头上有可以立刻用的钱财。
She is a high maintenance girl, so if you want to date her, make sure you have a lot of ready money.她是一个花销非常大的女生，所以假如你想要和她约会，要确保你有不少现金。
2、Rough and ready:虽然做事马虎，但勉强过得去，可以用
Our house is a little rough and ready, but we can move in there if we have to.尽管大家的房屋还有需要调整的地方，但假如大家想的话就能搬进来住了
3、good and ready:已经完全筹备好了。
We will leave when I'm good and ready, and not a minute sooner.我筹备好了咱们就走，还需要等一下。
4、Ready, willing, and able：某人很想做某事。If you need help with your project, just let me know. I'm ready, willing and able.
假如你的项目需要帮助，尽管告诉我。我乐意效劳。
5、Ready to drop：筋疲力尽、极度疲乏I was ready to drop after working overtime.
加班后我极度疲惫。
6、Ready to roll：急切的筹备采取行动或筹备离开某个地方。I'm ready to roll! Let's go dancing.
我筹备好了，咱们去跳舞吧！
7、Ready for the off：表述某人筹备离开某个地方I already have my airline ticket and I have booked a hotel. I am ready for the off.
我已经拿到机票了，还订了旅馆。我筹备好出发了。
8、Be more than ready to do something：完全筹备好去做某事。If you hire me, I am more than ready to start working.
假如你雇佣我，我已经筹备好开始工作了。
