Facebook is under increasing pressure to explain how data collected on 50m users were exploited for political gain, following claims that data firm Cambridge Analytical used the leaked information to help Donald Trump win the US presidency.
中划线成分following claims 是名词成分，that 后面是它的同位语从句，那样following claims到底充当了什么成分？ 我觉得逗号前面已经是一个完整的句子了。 逗号后面只有一个名词，同时又无连词，也并不是是做状语。
Facebook 是主语，how引导的非限定从句是做explain的宾语补足语。
如此的理解有问题吗？

1. following是介词，接名词claims再接对应的同位语从句，整体构成了一个表达时间的介词短语
2. to explain不定式结构修饰名词pressure，内部的how从句为名词性从句，作explain的宾语
