Drink Driving
Drink driving is a very serious issue in China. In the first half of 2009, Chinas Drink driving cases jumped by 9%. In Beijing alone, 97 people were killed by drunk drivers by the end of July in 2009. The deadly result has spark repeated crackdowns on drink driving and heated debates on whether offenders deserve harsher punishrnent.
醉驾在中国是一个很紧急的问题。在2009年前半年，中国的醉驾案件增加了9%。单在北京，截止到2009年7月底就有97人死于醉驾的司机之手。这一致命的结果激起了对醉驾的不断制裁，引起了对触犯法规者是不是应遭到更严厉的惩罚这一问题激烈的争论。
There are a number of reasons for the increase of drink driving in China. Firstly, Chinas highly sociable but sometimes excessive drinking habits should be mentioned. People often persuade others to drink more, even if they know their friends may drive when drunk. Secondly, the punishrnent for drink driving is not harsh enough. Many people argue that the cosplayt of drink driving is too low, so drunk drivers do it again and again.
中国醉驾的增长有不少缘由。第一，应该提一提，中国人交际广泛，但有时有过度饮酒的习惯。大家一般会劝其他人多喝点，即便他们了解我们的朋友喝醉了将来或许会开车。第二，对醉驾的惩罚还不够严厉。很多人觉得醉驾的本钱太低，所以醉酒司机一次又一次地这么做。
More severe punishment is defrnitely necessary to curb drink driving. No matter who the driver is, or what the reason is, any drunk driver should be severely punished. But we also need to attach greater importance to education. Anyway, prevention is always the best measure.
