tooto句式中的一般用通常式。如：
This coffee is too hot to drink. 这咖啡太烫，不可以喝。
Youre getting too heavy to carry!你重得都抱不动了！
The wood was too green to burn.这类木头是新砍的，烧不燃。

当不定式的动作发生在先时，可以用完成时；当不定式的动作正在发生时，也可以用进行时。如：
We are too young to have lived through the war. 大家太年轻，没历程过那场战争。
Youre too young to be contemplating retirement. 你考虑退休还太年轻。
