答案只能选择B. 由于这是一个非限制性定语从句。个人以为判断依据并不是是由于which代替的是上文整个句子。我觉得先行词就是inner ear damage, 解题的关键字为initially, 它的意思为“刚开始的”，就是说其在“时间或程度上”为先行词的“一部分”，当定语从句表达的是部分与整体之间的关系时，一般该定从是用于补充说明先行词的部分状况，所以其为非限拟定语从句。假如把initially 去掉，该句不合客观事实，是个病句。
