夏威夷群岛坐落于太平洋中部，由20多个主要岛屿所组成，象一串2500公里长的珍珠链。这里气候宜人，四季常绿，年平均气温为24℃。群岛周围到处是松软的海滩和碧绿的海水。加上海底五光十色的珊瑚和贝壳及珍贵热带鱼类，更受旅游者欢迎。夏威夷群岛还因珍珠港事件而闻名于世。美国把在日军袭击中击沉的一艘最大战舰——亚利桑那号打捞出来修好，作为珍珠港事件的纪念馆停泊在当年的海面上，供游人参观。
