not only...but also...可以用于否定句吗

请问老师：表示“不只……而且……”的 not only...but also 句型可以用在否定句里吗？

譬如：他不只不感激我，而且还不理我。

▲not only…but also…一般不需要于否定句，要表示“不只不……而且还不……”如此的意思，应考虑使用其他办法。如“他不只不感激我，而且还不理我”可翻译成：
Far from thanking me, he ignored me.
Instead of thanking me, he ignored me.
▲但假如本身表示否定意义的词语，也可直接用not only…but …来连接，从而表示“不只不……而且还不……”如此的意思。如：
It’s not only useless to trouble him but it is needless to do so. 去麻烦他不只没用而且没必要。
